Asian Proverbs say THIS is Good Luck?!!

I had a little AH!! moment today, I left the back door open while I took a shower, since it's such a beautiful Spring Day and guess what flew in? A BIRD! AHHH!!
It unfortunately flew upstairs to the second level and into my office/craft room! Oh, no! I was thinking to go in the room to try to do something about it while I waited for animal control to show up, so I armed my head...

and eased open the door, oh, no I can't do it! See him on my ceiling fan? He looks like he belongs there!

I was telling the story at my local Starbucks this morning and I was told that a bird in the house in Asian cultures is good luck?! Ok, I suppose...
Oh, update, the animal control guy came and successfully got him out safe and sound! Whew! Suzie

Have you seen "Amazing Grace"?

I recently came across this movie on cable based on the story of William Wilberforce (1759-1833)

Wilberforce
was an abolitionist and fought for the end to the Atlantic slave trade in Britian. This movie was wonderful, to see a movie about making an unpopular but moral choice in life and living your faith!
Also it is connected with John Newton who had been a captain on a slave boat and saw the "light" and wrote "Amazing Grace" as a result of opening his eyes to truth!

Happy Pink Easter Saturday!

I thought I'd share the gorgeous eggs I received this week from the Artrageous Afternoon egg swap I participated in.
The first beautiful egg is from Joanna at Sweet Finds the words are hand stitched, just exquisite, Joanna! Thanks!

The next egg came from Melinda at Melinda's Fabric Fancies So much detail, Melinda, I LOVE it!

My next egg simply said "Jae Designs" on the back, and I am not sure who this is, but I love your egg, it was so sweet! Please leave me a comment if you happen upon my posting, I love to meet my swap partners! Isn't her egg so sweet below?!

And then another mystery swap egg was from Jody Bradshaw, I googled Jody and found she had won a swap on another blog, but it appears she doesn't have a blog? I still want to say, Jody, your egg was so cottage cute, and I ADORE it! Thank you so much!

What I've been working on...

One of my dear friends Maria has her big 4-0 coming up and I like to always make something for my friends' birthdays...
I saw a similar cupcake photo album on another blog, can't remember which one, but I thought, perfect! I can make Maria this cupcake!

I left the backside of each photo flower empty so she can stick in pictures from her birthday party this Saturday...

Then I've also been crafting a baby book for my new Granddaughter, Madison.
Here is a picture of me in it with Madison, look how she's looking at me! So sweet!

And here's the new Mom and Dad...

And then I left some pages blank for pictures to come...

And lastly, a tiny brag book for me to carry in my purse, I think I'll also stitch up a little bag to hold it in so it doesn't get dirty too!
