Every little girl needs a doll...

I found Craft Hope's blog this week and was instantly intrigued by her project through ORPHANetwork to send handmade dolls to the Casa Bernabe Orphange in Nicaragua. This organization not only tries to help children at this orphanage with their daily basic needs but to also address the psychological and emotional needs of the children also, thus, comes in this (second) project to provide handmade dolls for the girls at the orphanage.

The pattern for the doll above can be found at Martha Stewart
I've committed to making a doll (maybe two if I can keep on track with time) to a little girl. The deadline to have the doll mailed isn't until June 13th, maybe you'd like to join in also!
Now I just need to decide what type of doll I would like to stitch, Please join in also! Suzie

Vintage Swimwear Tags...

I've been working on my swap and thought I'd share a few of the tags I've created so far... It's been fun and relaxing putting together these tags, I love crafts that are easy to finish up!
The first one (front and back images) is a Mary Englebreit picture, we all love Mary Englebreit, don't we?

And Backside...

And here's another Mary Englebreit inspired tag...

and back...

Here's a vintage swimmer ready to go fishing...

and the backside...

I had bought these vintage postcards years ago, and now I've finally put them to use...

and the back...

Just 12 more tags to go! Have a crafty Monday where you are too! Suzie

A little Smilebox of Madison

Make a Smilebox scrapbook

I made Madison a special liner for her moses basket and personalized it and we're taking photos of her each month in the same basket, wearing this one year old outfit so we can frame them all to watch Madison grow!
Hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day! Suzie

Happy Pink Saturday and Mother's Day Weekend...

I REALLY LOVE this...
ADORABLE PINK CUPCAKE APRON

And isn't this PINK RING to die for?!

I love this bag in this trendy Amy Butler fabric too!

I NEVER have enough fabric!
TO-DIE-FOR FABRIC

And if I have fabric, we need a pattern too! I actually purchased this book on Amazon and it has a lot of adorable patterns I could use that fabric for!
AMY BUTLER'S LITTLE STITCHES FOR LITTLE ONES

And, I know it's splurging, but I have always wanted a mosaic table and these are gorgeous!

Ok, it that's too pricey, then this cutie will be acceptable too for a Mother's Day gift!
TRAY TABLE

That's all for today, but since our Mom's are our heros, please enjoy this beautiful song by Jamie O'Neal, Happy Mother's Day to all Moms, wherever you may be!

And this song is for my daughter Megan to celebrate her FIRST Mother's day to our sweetie Madison!

I've discovered Scrapblog!!

I recently have discovered digital scrapbooking, and I'm really just totally a newbie to the whole craft of digital scrapbooking, but I recently found SCRAPBLOG and I had SO much fun creating a little Mother's Day card for my daughter for her FIRST Mother's Day coming up! Here it is...

I can see that digital crafting can be addictive, there's just NO hope that I'll get the house clean anytime soon with all the wonderful crafts out there these days!
HOW MUCH FUN! Suzie

I forgot to respond this Saturday for Pink Saturday..

But I thought I'd share my "pink" treasure, this Josef music box I found at an antiques shop while out with my daughter and my friend Maria! I have seen this exact piece on Ebay for a LOT more, and I got it 35 percent off! Yeah! I paid only $32.00! Which is a great price in my view!

Also, I found these gorgeous vases, don't you love the colors?! And the vintage jewelry was only like $1.50 for the pearl and $6.00 for the vintage rhinestone necklace, I like using the rhinestones when I do mixed media art!

Don't you just LOVE a day browsing through an antique store or two...or three?! Suzie

A wall decal giveaway!
