Thanks to our wonderful host, Beverly, as usual for hosting our grand Pink Saturday for us! I wish I could find the time to stop at all the blogs, but I run out of steam!
Today first I wanted to share with you my new "curtains" in my family room. I have a little problem, see, it's called collecting and bargain sales, and it's caused my home to become utter chaos! I just can't seem to figure out what to do in any of the rooms to make it organized, so my lovely daughter Megan stepped in and took over and decluttered. I at first was like don't throw anything out without me seeing it first, but I knew I really needed to let her just have free rein in the rooms because otherwise I'm going to never get this chaos under control. She did quite a wonderful job for me, I knew she was seriously in deep decluttering when I came downstairs between captioning programs and she had on one of my aprons with her hair pulled back in a ponytail holder. She made me feel so much better that I decided to finally put curtains back up over the blinds on this window, so we hit Target. Guess what these curtains are! Yep, shower curtains and the bling-bling hooks were right there with them! I think it looks wonderful and now my whole weekend is off to a fresh (CLEAN) start! I love Megan so much! She's the bomb! What a good idea for the curtains! I need major help decluttering too. I'm not as brave as you though... I'm afraid the person decluttering for me will throw stuff away that's valuable. for instance, some of my friends came over to help me clean when I was prego (6 years ago) and someone tried to throw out a few of the waldorf dolls the kids had because to my friend it looked like a junky homemade thing. Also, when I went to Germany for 10 days (2 summers ago) my hubby decided to clean out the garage and took a brand new $100 celine fan to the dump!

Happy Pink Saturday, Susan.
ReplyDeleteOh, I know just what you mean. We are preparing for a yard sale in a few weeks, and I just keep looking at all of this stuff and wondering where it all came from. ;-)
I do love all of the pretty pinks you shared today.
Those look great as curtains and love the bling to hang them with : ) Daughters are great aren't they, and It always feels so good to get everything organized. I need to do that again after the last few sales I have been too, my craft room is a tad messy : ) Hope you have a beautiful Sunday.
