Pink Saturday Memories

Hi Friends! I am posting this morning instead of my usual late Friday evening for Pink Saturday

because I had been out late last night to see Little House on the Prairie the Musical here in Dallas

as part of the summer musicals!

It was such fun watching the story unfold of beloved characters from the Little House books that I remember just devouring when I was about 12 years old….

There’s “Ma” in her Pink prairie dress!

aprairie             I thought the musical was very well written and of course you can still hear the “half pint”

in the  sweet voice when the wonderful Melissa Gilbert spoke! She has such a distinctive voice

to me that epitomizes who Half Pint was.

aprarie2                                           Thoroughly enjoyable!

Please visit Alaina over at Arbor House Lane also on your

                                                                     Pink Saturday visits!

  1. Oh my gosh, what a treat to have seen THIS!!! I'm sure it was wonderful! I loved this show as a kid, and wish I had the DVDs that I'm sure are available somewhere! Happy Pink Saturday, and hope you're enjoying a wonderful weekend! ~tina

  2. That musical passed through here as well and it looked like a wonderful show. I thought it was so fitting that Melissa Gilbert would play "Ma". Thanks for sharing.

  3. Oh WOW! What a treat this must have been to see! I would have loved to have seen it myself... I was entranced by that show when I was a little girl. Happy Pink Saturday!

  4. It sounds wonderful! Wish I was over there to go & see it. Happy Pink Saturday!

  5. Besides having a complete crush on Michael Landon (for "Little Joe" as opposed to "Pa" though), I totally grew up on this show too. I had the Little House Colorforms set. Too bad they didn't market dolls for this show, I would have loved it!

Gotta try to do my first Pink Saturday today!

  6. That looks like fun! I hope it comes our way!
