Pink Saturday Memories

Hi Friends! I am posting this morning instead of my usual late Friday evening for Pink Saturday

because I had been out late last night to see Little House on the Prairie the Musical here in Dallas

as part of the summer musicals!

It was such fun watching the story unfold of beloved characters from the Little House books that I remember just devouring when I was about 12 years old….

There’s “Ma” in her Pink prairie dress!

aprairie             I thought the musical was very well written and of course you can still hear the “half pint”

in the  sweet voice when the wonderful Melissa Gilbert spoke! She has such a distinctive voice

to me that epitomizes who Half Pint was.

aprarie2                                           Thoroughly enjoyable!

Please visit Alaina over at Arbor House Lane also on your

                                                                     Pink Saturday visits!

  2. That musical passed through here as well and it looked like a wonderful show. I thought it was so fitting that Melissa Gilbert would play "Ma". Thanks for sharing.

  5. Besides having a complete crush on Michael Landon (for "Little Joe" as opposed to "Pa" though), I totally grew up on this show too. I had the Little House Colorforms set. Too bad they didn't market dolls for this show, I would have loved it!

Gotta try to do my first Pink Saturday today!

  9. Well I just don't know what to say besides thank you very much. You are so kind to put ME on your blog. And your comments were so nice.

I have to say, like it says on my profile I am a believer of everything happening for a reason. The name of your blog hits me, My mother's name was Suzie and I always think of her when I collect buttons. So you are unknowingly saying happy birthday to me from my mother. Thank you and I will be back to see more of your blog.

Oh and I loved Little House on The Prairie too.

  14. Happy Pink, Suzie...

I bet that was a great musical. Melissa Gilbert was great as a child and great as an adult. I loved her role in Danielle Steel's movie, Zoya.

    Have a wonderful PiNk week,
