A Child's Dream...
The woods are full of fairies!
The trees are alive:
The river overflows with them.
See how they dip and dive!
What funny little fellows!
What dainty little dears!
They dance and leap, and prance and peep,
And utter fairy cheers!
Please visit all the Pink Saturday Participantson this magical Pink weekend!

I love him, I love him, I love him...
I kept repeating this to myself when, after captioning the news for two hours, I walked downstairs, turned the corner and was met with this...
AND this...
And, oh, he missed or got bored ripping up this roll!
And HOW did he get hold of the bread? And a portion of a wreath!
I should have known he was capital T -- trouble today because TWO days ago I took this away from him because he had ripped it a bit and little plastic pellets were coming out and I put it (I thought) securely far back on my bed table to keep away from him
And when I came back from Starbucks this morning he had somehow climbed from my bed over on the table and got it and finished this puppy off for good! So that was in the trash, and he was trying to stop me as I threw it in the garbage can too!
Oh, Ollie told me, it wasn't me? Can't you see it in my eyes, Mommy?! It was Cody!!
See, I was just napping! Or blame my daughter Katie for taking an afternoon nap instead of watching him or putting him in his cage.
I love him, I love him, I love him, Well, I REALLY do! So, I forgive you, (bad) Ollie!

Flyin' High!
I thought I'd share a picture of my son, Daniel, skydiving from this past weekend for his birthday!
I had mixed feelings about having one of my children jump out of a plane willingly, but I was the one who suggested it! Why, you say? Well, Daniel is at pivotal point in his life right now, he's about to graduate from college with his engineering degree and he's been working SO hard for so many years now, day in and day out, at a job and school and I wanted him to do something completely different and exciting to mark this year.
So I thought, skydiving! And then I thought, am I nuts?!! What if the plane goes down on the way up TO jump, what if the parachute doesn't work?!
I had a discussion about it the other day while at a doctor visit, just chatting about kids, ya' know, and my female doctor was saying also how she has a lot of fears for her children and has to struggle to let them be "free" a bit too. I totally understood what she was saying! When my kids were little I was a young mother and back then I never worried about something bad "happening" to my children. I think it came from growing up in a safe era during the 60's and 70's, when we rode out bikes everywhere and walked to school without any fears. I have noticed that now that I'm older that I have a lot more fears about what could happen. I thought maybe it was because I caption news every day, and, well, we all know about the bad news stories on the news every night!
Maybe that is part of this fear, but I thought how important too it is to encourage our young adults to sometimes take "reasonable" risks, to stretch their horizons, so I ended up pushing past myself and offering this skyride to Daniel as a birthday gift.
I'm glad I did when I see that smile on his face! Happy Birthday, Daniel! Love, Mom.

Summer Sandals...
In paper!
I'm working on my Flip-Flop Swap and thought I'd share a few images of what I've been making!
Instead of making my flip-flops just single-sided, I decided to double the fun!
I love using vintage swimwear pictures and scenes of the beach...
I also LOVE mermaids, and I also love these Memory Capsules to showcase a little piece of the beach, some sand and shells!
And a flirty Betty on the beach just brightens up any flip-flop, don't you agree?!
Happy Crafty Monday!

Mischievous Little Puppy!
I thought I'd show how cute my newest baby, Ollie is now! We've had him now for over a month and he's getting BIG! And boy is he mischievous! As I was blogging here I saw him run from the kitchen through the foyer with the BROOM hanging out his mouth as he towed it along for entertainment! Then that began to bore him, so he came over and snuck my sandal off my foot while I was typing to you!
He's a cutie, but boy are puppies a handful!
Cody, our other English Springer Spaniel, thinks Ollie is a handful too AND a bit annoying to boot! Always sneaking the attention, Ollie is!

PINK SCRAPPIN' SATURDAY!
I've been on a paper bag scrappin' kick lately!
Here's a few more pages that I made...
I saw this flower idea in a scrapbook idea book I purchased recently!
I made a special page for pictures of my granddaughter Madison with her Uncle Ben and Uncle Daniel...
Now this is a face ANYONE could love, don't you agree?
And this says it all, "Smile and the whole world smiles with you!"
Making the page inserts just was fun!
And I'll end on this little one's sleepy note..
Please scroll down a couple posts to see the rest of my scrapbook too!
And don't forget to visit Beverly and the Pink Saturday participants!

A lot of Love at Craft Hope!
You might remember a while back when I was stitching this baby..
for Craft Hope
Well, my heart was overflowing when I had the privelege to see my doll in the arms of a smiling young girl when it was delivered to the orphanage in Nicaragua!
You can read the heartwarming journey of this doll plus over 400 more (!!) over at Craft Hope

Paper Bag Scrappin'!
I purchased some high quality paperbag scrapbook pages recently and immediately got the bug to get going on a new scrapbook for, of course, my favorite subject, my granddaughter Madison!
Here's that cutie pie!
I had fun making special pages...
showing just how much fun my grandbaby is!
The scrapbook pages were fun too because the size helped me finish the project instead of the long drawn out scrappin'!
I also found yesterday these cool capsules to hold in this case beach elements, I love the 3-D effect!
Madison loves riding up front so she can see everything!
I'll end today on this page, but there's lot more, I think I'll save it for Pink Saturday!
