Have you played UNO FLASH yet?
This year I've been enjoying occasionally playing games with mainly my daughter and son-in-law and his parents when we get together for holidays and such. My daughter Megan purchased the new Uno Flash game and it's SO MUCH FUN! If you like UNO, this is a faster paced, flashing lights version that really picks up the pace! We played Christmas Day and will have a game night on New Year's too! I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and enjoyed time with their loved ones! Happy Day! Suzie

NO PINK SATURDAY..... BUT....
I came upon an amazing blog that isn't directly participating in Pink Saturday, but should be!! She has a beautiful home that should be at the top of a Pink Saturday weekend at Treasured Heirlooms, Elegance and Whimsy
I'm trying to avoid anymore issues with viruses and/or spyware so my hubby purchased PrintMaster for me for Christmas, it says it has blogging capabilities, but I haven't had time to download it yet and I am working today, so please visit this beautiful blog above and accept my apologies for being behind in getting back to blogging! Blessings! Suzie

No Pictures today because....
Well, what another frustrating computer weekend I just went through! I started having Spyware type popups on my computer this weekend and freaked out! My husband found out that it was PICASA that I use for my blogging of pictures that contained the spyware!! So that's all gone now and I won't use their system again!
This is the second time I've had spyware/corruption on my computer due to blogging type activities, I really enjoy blogging but cannot handle the threats of viruses and spyware.
Does anyone have a SAFE program to handle their photos that isn't pulled off of the internet to use? UGH! But thanks to a hubby who has the patience to fix it for me! Suzie

I need opinions on this Pink Saturday!
Hi, friends! I "collect" vintage marriage certificates, I hesitate to call it a collection since I only have two (isn't three of something the definition of a collection?). I bought this "pink" marriage certificate this summer on my trip to Round Top, TX, and I really dislike the wooden frame around it, it's not romantic, it's scuffed and just not pretty! I do like the depth of the frame though, and I'd like your opinions on how I could possibly transform this frame into a shabby chic and somewhat romantic frame. What is your opinion?
Below that is my second marriage certificate sitting in my cabinet with some of my vintage bride and groom cake toppers, the wedding picture is of my beloved mother- and father-in-law on their wedding day in the 1950's, they've both passed now, and I miss them terribly! Happy Pink Saturday! Suzie

Winter has come to Texas...
Last night the winds really picked up and were just howling outside, and this morning I was captioning before sunrise, and when the sun came up I was surprised to see the snowy frost on my neighbors' homes through my office window! Now it feels more like Christmas here in Dallas...

Here's my day, how was yours?
Hi, friends! I thought I'd share a typical day with you, well, Starbucks is at the top because I always rush there as fast as possible for my Americano! By the time I get my caffeine, I've usually captioned 1.5 to two hours already, and today I captioned six hours total (not all at once! Spread out over the day to 8 p.m.)
I thought I'd show you a snippet of captioning in my office, there's my stenography machine, which in the second picture is hooked up to my captioning software which dials into encoders and ta-da, I can caption programs! This particular show I'm sharing is done via audio and then replayed later, thus, my ability to take pictures of my captions! Now, this show was my sixth hour and boy, does George Stroumboulopoulos give you a workout, he must speak 300, 350 words a minute! He makes my hands hurt! But what a wonderful career this is that I have!
How was your day? Are you just as crazy, nutty busy as I am?! I'm sure you are! Suzie

I made LOTS and LOTS of cookies!
When your hubby asks for cookies to take to work for a customer meeting, how can you say no?! It makes him happy, so I just have to oblige... so I made three batches of the classic peanut butter cookies and two batches of my childhood favorite Peanut Blossoms... the recipe is here...Land O'Lakes website
I also did a bit of online shopping today...
I still haven't stitched the Christmas dishtowels for the prize winner from Friday,
and when I went to Embroidery Library to download previous orders to begin them, I instead got caught up in their great deals and decided to buy these designs and use these instead to stitch on the dishtowels! Ebay is always on my shopping list this time of year, it's really a great craft resource, and what I didn't show you is my trip to Hobby Lobby for more beads!

Happy Pink Saturday!
My Pink Saturday this weekend comes from a sweet and very talented blogger that I now consider a friend, her name is Melissa, and you might know her too from
Fairy Child Heirlooms
Melissa has a rare and detailed skill of heirloom sewing for infants and children and makes these beautiful Heirloom blankets. You can see the beautiful blanket below in the picture that she allowed me to post from her site. Well, I happened to be one of her first three to comment when she had a "Pay it Forward" contest a while back, and it was so wonderful to receive an email from Melissa that she wanted to know what color heirloom blanket I would like for signing up! I, of course, said PINK! Please visit Melissa and peruse her varied talents at her site!
Thanks, as usual, to our sweet host Beverly at How Sweet The Sound Pop over to see all this week's participants! Blessings... Suzie
